Sport
Sport Wellington recognises the huge contribution that sport makes to the region it serves. Sport contributes significantly to the community and engages a huge base of volunteers at both club and regional level in order to deliver sport. Sport Wellington's role is to work with sport at all levels, providing training, development, services and advice in order to enhance the quality and delivery of sport. We want all people associated with sport, in what ever capacity, to maximise their potential and have a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
We host network meetings for CEO's, Regional Sporting Organisations (RSO's) and Coaches. We help sports with the annual Stadium Sports Festival.
We suggest clubs look over our Resources page which also has the link to the Sport NZ "Club Kit".
We also produce the "Sport Connector" newsletter every three weeks which is the best way to keep up to date and we recommend every Club committee member and Regional Sports Organisation Board member receives it directly.
We also operate out of the Sport Wellington-Wairarapa office.
