Kiwidex:
The Kiwidex manual is a fantastic user friendly resource for teachers developed by SPARC.  This is an updated version to the manual that has proven valuable in the past.  It provides a range of ideas that teachers and other physical activity providers can use to develop a programme of daily physical activity sessions particularly suited to primary and intermediate school aged children.

Fundamental Movement Skills Manual:
This new resource (published in October 2007) builds on the materials in the 1997 Kiwisport Fundamental Skills Manual, provides greater emphasis on progressive development of skills.  The progressions are broken into three learning phases: Discovering, Developing, Consolidating.

The resource groups skills and activities under three fundamental movement skill categories: Locomotor skills, Stability skills, Manipulative skills.

Physical Activity for Healthy Confident Kids guidelines:
The Ministry of Education, in partnership with SPARC, have recently produced guidelines for sustainable physical activity in school communities.  The guidelines will help your school community to plan and provide opportunities for students to enjoy many physical activity experiences.

The guidelines contribute to the Mission-On campaign, a package of initiatives aimed at improving the lifestyle of young New Zealanders by improving their nutrition and increasing their involvement in physical activity.
