In the current environment where there is so much choice, the need to professionally promote Sport and Sports Clubs has never been greater. The desire to be continually creative and innovative is essential to meet the needs of current and prospective club members. Sport Wellington Region will be facilitating two interactive workshops focusing on Club Promotion and Push Play. One workshop will be held at the Pelorus Trust Sports House in Lower Hutt on September 10th and the second workshop will be held at Sport Wellington Region on the 22nd, both run from 7pm to 8.30pm. Attendees’ will be given the opportunity to share best practice and will take away from these workshops a selection of resources and ideas to help promote their sport and clubs effectively, in the 21st Century. Lower Hutt - 10 September Sport Wellington Coach of the Month - AugustCongratulations to Marianne Delaney who coaches the Queen Margaret College Senior A netball team plus Assistant Coach for the Cook Strait and Coach of the Wellington Under 21 representative team. Marianne has not only given her time to three teams but has also had outstanding success with the College team being elevated to Premier 2 in the second round of competition, the Cook Strait Marianne is a dedicated coach and constantly upskilling herself by attending coaching courses and seminars plus attends a range of Netball NZ training sessions. Sport Wellington Volunteer of the Month - AugustAnne Clinch who is an official Timekeeper and Recorder for Athletics Wellington which she has volunteered for over 40 years. Anne assists at numerous winter events throughout the region. Her relaxed and friendly personality affects all participants, she is extremely cooperative and efficient in all her activities. Plus she travels from the Wairarapa to assist at all the Athletic events in the Wellington and Kapiti region. | FeaturesPush Play Month is coming....
